My research focuses on a variety of topics in international trade and urban economics. I see myself as an applied econometrician who is generally interested in economic interaction over space and identifying its driving and disrupting forces. I tackle these questions using both modern econometric techniques, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), and remote sensing.
